Our Cr Sleep Ventilated Memory Foam Bed Pillow with AirCell Technology Review

For a long time, a down pillow was the norm in most parts of the world. It was soft and comfy and hey, everybody used it.

However, that soft and fluffy feeling dissipates quickly and you wake up sleeping on a flat and uncomfortable surface, flipping it over numerous times through the course of the night. There goes your restful REM sleep through the window.

The CR Sleep Ventilated Foam Bed Pillow is made of memory foam which has a bunch of benefits associated with it. At the forefront is the better neck support it offers for ‘Cervicalgia’ sufferers and side sleepers.

Here are the top Pros and Cons

PROS:

  • Memory Foam Construction
  • Anti-Allergic
  • Contoured wave design
  • Ventilation
  • Dual Side Covers

CONS:

  • Out of the Box Odor

Memory Foam Construction: By now most people know that memory foam was originally created for use by NASA in airplanes because of its ability to mold itself around your body according to pressure and bodyweight. This significantly improves the number of pressure points that are created when your neck comes into contact with it as you sleep.

Depending on whether you are a side sleeper or a stomach sleeper, the pressure and weight are distributed evenly. In simple terms, less chances of waking up with a stiff neck. In fact, most of the pillows designed for side sleepers use memory foam.

Anti-Allergic: One of the biggest drawbacks of down pillows is that they can be a haven for dust mites and fungi which when clubbed with sweat, quickly turning it into a bacterial hotspot.

The CR Sleep Ventilated Memory foam is anti-microbial and deters potential allergens like dust mites and mold spores. If you are suffering from frequent allergies, maybe it’s time to switch pillows.

Contoured wave design: The contoured wave design on the CR Sleep Ventilated pillow allows you to keep your spine in the neutral position irrespective of which side you sleep on.

It is medium-firm and allows your head to sink in improving sleep quality. If you sleep on your back, the pillow automatically adapts to your position and your neck is rested on the less elevated portion. When you sleep on your side, the neck is positioned on the higher elevated portion.

Ventilation: The ventilated Air Cell technology in the Cr Sleep pillow allows natural airflow. This prevents the pillow from retaining your body heat creating the perfect environment for uninterrupted sleep.

Dual Side Covers: This memory foam pillow comes with a unique cover that has two different materials on each side. One side is 50% ice fabric and 50% polyester creating a soft and cool surface that is perfect for use in summer. Flip it over and you have 65% polyester and 35% tencel that stays warm on cold winter nights.

Cons

One of the only possible nits that I could find with the CR Sleep Ventilated Memory foam pillow is that it has a strong chemical odor when you unbox it. However, the smell dissipates in the span of a week or so.

You might want to let it air dry for a few days before you use it. I just used some Febreze and it was fine in a couple of days.

Would I consider the odor to be a deal breaker? Definitely not.

Unboxing CR Memory Foam Pillow

To sum it up

Most pillows that are advertised or marketed for specialized conditions like cervicalgia, or even the so-called ‘Cool’ pillows are priced above $150. I was always skeptical about spending that amount of money for something that ‘might’ never work for me.

Deals

The CR Sleep Ventilated Pillow is priced just under $30!

If any one of the above mentioned problems is preventing you from sleeping soundly, I highly recommend that you give this pillow a try.
